Book 2
of 10 books and counting Biography Theresa Heflin
I was born in Germany while my dad served in the military in 1954. When I was in the second grade, my parents, my sisters, and I moved back to the United States and lived in Lawton, Oklahoma. My dad continued to serve in the Army until he retired. In 1989, my dad moved to heaven.
We were a family that always believed in God and lived in a social setting of church activities. I remember when my nine-year-old little self accepted Christ as my personal Savior. I can still remember how clean I felt after my baptism. I wanted to serve the Lord with all my heart forever. That lasted until I graduated from high school. Then, it was time for me to experience the “real” world.
The real world welcomed me with open arms and I married him. Then the shocking moment came that I may have been mistaken. With much devastation and drama, I picked myself back up and decided to try out a new life in Houston, Texas. It was in Houston that my life changed to mom and my beautiful daughter emerged into my life forever.
Life began again with Dick Heflin, Missy, and Allison. It has now grown to Missy and Gene with my grandsons Parker and John, Allison and Stephen with my grandsons Stephen and Hunter. Dick died in 2002 and we had to say our final goodbye on Valentine’s Day.
Dick was a hospital administrator and we lived in different areas throughout Tennessee. He predominately worked for the Methodist Health Care Systems and I was a stay-at-home mom. My life consisted of volunteer work for the community and our church.
One day we had an opportunity to become partial owners of the Three Rivers Community Hospital in Waverly, Tennessee. After we retired, we built our dream home in Franklin, Tennessee. Six months after Dick retired, he was diagnosed with Leukemia, three years later, lung cancer, eight months later, I buried my fifty-five year old husband after a twenty-year marriage.
Life began again at forty-seven with most of the money gone and our dream home had to go. The past five years have been the richest years of my spiritual growth. I had to lean on God for everything. I began to realize in a very personal way that God truly does come through for us when we do not know which way to turn. I was old enough to know I did not have the answers and I needed help.
My deeper growth began at the Peoples Church in Franklin, Tennessee. I began my Bible studies with the women studying Beth Moore’s Breaking Free series. That began a healing process from within. I have since done all of her Bible studies and loved each one. I studied Henry Blackaby’s series Experiencing God, and Avery Willis’ MasterLife program. At the end of every lesson in this series, you are asked to write down what you sense God is saying to you.
I began to write. It became apparent to me that God was giving me love letters and it was soothing to my lonesome soul. One day when I was walking in the park, I heard a gentle whisper say, “Give my love letters to the world.” From that moment on, I began to write Love Letters from God to God’s Mighty Warriors. I am nearly finished with book eleven, with 50 letters in each book. Currently I have two books in print and seven more on CD.
Many have contacted me and told me that these letters have encouraged them. I am so thankful that our God can take our sorrows and change them around in a healing process that helps another. That is truly the heart of God.
Love your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. I hope you too will be encouraged with God’s gentle words of love to you.
Hello Everyone,
God gave me this letter yesterday (02/24/2007). I really thought it was just for
me. But, today I feel impressed to send it out as part of book eleven. So, here
is another love letter to you all – not just for me
J.
Love, Theresa
Psalm 1 NKJV 1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The
tides are turning, My love, now I bring in what I have ebbed out. I have the
power to do all things. These things had to be, My love, for a part of the world
still had a string it could pull. I have snapped the chord and made you walk in
total submission to Me. I have protected you from the chords that have tried to
wrap themselves around you. I separated you for a season. This was no accident.
I have protected you, unentangled you, and spun you into Me. I spin My chords in
and around you and I have fastened them with My Hand. The chords I have that
hold you tightly to Me cannot be snapped or broken. I can send you now for you
are ready to help My entangled ones. I give you all My kindness and love to help
you. You are Mine. I have sealed you with My kiss. I have bound you to Me and
set you free – go bind My people unto Me. I am sending them to you and I send
you to them for there is much work for you to do. Rest when I send you to the
one who has your heart, and let My love replenish you in this great fight. It is
not soon, My love – it is now – it is here – you are ready. Come – fly higher
with Me.

the servants of David had come to Abigail at

1 Kings 18 NLT
41Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is
the sound of abundance of rain.” 42So
Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” 44Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’” 45Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. 46Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Two new letters from book two:
Psalm 119 NKJV 25 My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word. 26 I have declared my ways, and You answered me; Teach me Your statutes. 27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts; So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works. 28 My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word. 29 Remove from me the way of lying, And grant me Your law graciously. 30 I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me. 31 I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame! 32 I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart.
Letter Fifty-two
Your heart was breaking that day. You did not know the plans I had for you. I sent you My chosen one to bring you relief. Your spirit was full of anguish, full of despair, full of sorrow. I came to you, oh precious one, and gave you a refreshing drink from My waters. Oh one that I love, it was not time. But I was with you. I was watching over you closely. I never took My eyes off of you. I have always protected you from the evil one. I have great plans in store for you. For you love Me completely and trust Me solely and depend on Me for your every breath. Oh how I have longed for this day with you. Oh how I have waited and watched over you. I created you for this time. My great peace rests on you – for you know My voice. You recognize Me – oh – you recognize Me! I sing to you My love – I rejoice over you, mighty warrior! I Am Your God who sings to you! Oh hear Me sing My love songs to you! I Am Your God who loves you so. Psalm 119 NKJV
49 Remember the word to Your servant, Upon which You have caused me to hope. 50 This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life. 51 The proud have me in great derision, Yet I do not turn aside from Your law. 52 I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord, And have comforted myself. 53 Indignation has taken hold of me Because of the wicked, who forsake Your law. 54 Your statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage. 55 I remember Your name in the night, O Lord, And I keep Your law. 56 This has become mine, Because I kept Your precepts.
