Course Length

The course length depends on depth of knowledge desired.  (From 4 hours to 2 days).

Level one – For the Beginners -- Introduction to leadership concepts.  Human behavior and motivation theory. This module concentrates on identifying how leadership differs from ordinary behavior and what motivates people.

Level two -- For the Beginners and Intermediate Learners – Personal conduct can affect group dynamics for good or bad. Asserting, acting and affirming a behavior model. Influencing others to alter their behavior. Role modeling desired behavior.

Level three – Intermediate and Advanced Learners – The servant leader. Assistance competence and success as a desired behavior. The importance of attitude and consistency.

Module Three – For the Advance Learner – Making the difference

  Course Outline:

 

The courses associated with “How to Influence your Workplace for Positive Chage” are usually highly customized by taking into consideration the DOD and organizational issues related to your organization.  It can be designed in a way to fit your organizational needs.  Different levels of desired knowledge may be divided as follows:

 

Level one – For the Beginners -- Leadership concepts to influence human behavior and motivation. This module concentrates on identifying typical leader behavior. It examines what motivates others in the workplace. This course concentrates on professionalism, making a good first impression and dealing with people.  (4 Hours)

 

What makes a leader?

·         Introduction, Welcome, Introduction to Facilitator and Materials

·         What is Leadership?

·         Famous leader profiles and actions

·         Common leader profiles and actions

·         Personal characteristics, qualities and attributes held by leaders

 

What motivates people?

·         Personality profiling

·         Needs hierarchy

·         Social contracts

·         Hybrid models

 

Level two -- For the Beginners and Intermediate Learners – Introduction to personal conduct and how it can alter the group behavior for good or bad. Create a leader persona and describe their activity. What it means to assert, act and affirm oneself as a leader. This course outlines how to take the step into leading.   (One Day)

·         Being different, facing criticism and overcoming rejection

·         Know your co-workers

 

Create a desirable self-image

·         What must be done differently

·         Where to get help and support

·         What to expect in the way of obstacles

·         Proclaim a standard and identify with a code of conduct

·         Act that code and standard

·         Confronting the action and not the actor

·         Affirming appropriate behavior in others

 

Level three – Intermediate and Advanced Learners – Servant leadership, exercising power and exerting influence over others by meeting their needs. (One Day)

·         Balancing conflicting concerns of competing interests

·         Confronting evil with truth

·         Gaining confidence and trust of untrustworthy co-workers

Cost Information

Factor all tuition, instructor travel/meals/lodging, printing, certificates or any other expenses associated with conducting this program into the cost figures you provide.  Multiple credit card payments will be made for “per student” cost; however, only one credit card payment will be made for “per course” cost.  Note Since we are a regional training center, your proposed costs should reflect the potential of volume training.

Onsite Session in Nashville, TN

  • Participant price:  $100 per person per full day (minimum cost to client is 2000 for first day no minimum in number of participants.)

  • Single payment fee for broadcasting to simultaneously broadcast program to an additional site: $500

  • In addition a remote participant fee to simultaneously broadcast program to an additional site: $40 per person  (no minimum).

 All other locations:

  • Participant price: $130 per person for first day and $100 per person for each additional full day (minimum cost to client is $2600 for first day no minimum in number of participants.)

  • Single payment fee to simultaneously broadcast program to an additional site: $500

  • In addition a remote participant fee to simultaneously broadcast program to an additional site: $40 per person  (no minimum).

  • Single payment price: $2000/day not to exceed 25 participants, 2500/day for additional participants to 40.  Larger groups welcome. 

 

All other locations:     

  • Single payment price: $2600/day not to exceed 25 participants, 3200/day for additional participants to 40.  Larger groups welcome. 

 

Volume Discount

All cost can be negotiated to meet special requirements of the U.S. Government.  Typical volume discounts are addressed above.

Westbrook Stevens is willing to negotiate discounts.

 

Minimum/Maximum Number of Students

Minimum number of students you will accept in this course.

There is no group too small or too large.  Costs may be negotiated for participant numbers less than 10 or greater than 30.  Because of the participative nature of this program, it is recommended that enrollment not exceed 30 participants -- unless additional instructors (requiring additional instructor fees), and breakout rooms can be provided. 

 

Westbrook Stevens can accommodate requests for groups much larger than 30 and shorter presentations and less participation within a reasonable negotiated cost.
